Li-Ion Technology
Li-Ion or lithium-ion batteries are known for their high energy density, meaning they can provide a large amount of energy with relatively low weight.
Li-Ion batteries are stable, have a long lifespan, and do not contain cadmium or mercury, making them a more environmentally friendly choice.
Li-Po and Li-Ion batteries differ from NiCd/NiMH batteries primarily in their construction and properties.
While Li-Po and Li-Ion batteries are known for high performance and lower weight, NiCd/NiMH batteries have lower capacity and are heavier.
Li-Po batteries are more prone to damage if used improperly, thus requiring more careful maintenance.
Li-Ion batteries are somewhat more robust than Li-Po, gaining higher energy density.
Maintenance, Charging, and Storage Guide
For optimal performance, we recommend regular battery maintenance. Before first use, charge it fully with a lower current, and then follow the charging instructions provided with the battery. Avoid overcharging and discharging to prolong the battery’s lifespan. Perform long-term storage at approximately 75% capacity.
Charge the battery ONLY with a suitable Li-Ion battery charger and ideally in a protective case. Store it in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Never completely discharge the battery, so stop using the battery when you hear the firing rate starting to decline.
